  1. Introduction to the Department of Biology Education - Training objectives - Job opportunities

The Department of Biology Education, under the School of Education, was established in 1996 with the training majors of Biology Teacher Education and Natural Science Teacher Education (training from 2024). After four years of training, graduates will be awarded the title of Bachelor of Science.

Objectives: The training program of Biology Teacher Education and Natural Science Teacher Education at the university level trains students to become teachers with professional competence, pedagogical competence, and professional ethics, meeting current teacher professional standards to teach Biology in high schools and Natural Science Biology in secondary schools; capable of consulting, researching and managing in schools, training institutions, educational management institutions; capable of self-study and continuing to study at higher levels.

Job opportunities: Teaching biology at high schools, colleges, and universities; teaching natural sciences at junior high schools; researching biology; teaching methods at other institutes, centers, training facilities, and international organizations.

  1. Training management

Currently, the Department trains 04 Biology Teacher Education classes and 01 Natural Science Teacher Education class (total enrollment of 131 students).

  1. Graduation status

The annual graduation rate is over 90%, and more than 90% of students have jobs.

  1. Scientific research

Scientific research is considered a strength of both the departments and students of the Department of Biology Pedagogy. Each year, the departments and students of the Department publish more than 30 scientific articles in journals and scientific conference proceedings at home and abroad.

From 2020 to the present, every year, students of the Department have had talents entering the final round of the National Student Scientific Research Award and have all achieved high prizes (First, Second), in addition to third and encouragement prizes.
